While searching a bunch of blogs online, I read about the Knifty Knitter and decided I had to try it. I am a self-proclaimed knitting failure (see other pots...RARELY do I finish anything!
Well, with this super dandy new loom, I finished an entire scarf in about 5 hours.
The directions in the box are absolutely ridiculous. I even went online later and read all these GREAT reviews for the loom, but that the instructions packet needs to go! This is much easier than the packet lets on to be. All you do is figure eight across the looms, and when you get to the end of where you want your scarf to be, you do it again so that there are two loops instead of one. THEN, you take the handy loom tool and pull the bottom (first) loop over the top (second) loop- VIOLA! You can see your progress really quickly, too, which is what kept me going for so long! :)

The next step for this scarf is to add some fringe, but I'm actually quite proud of myself. This, whether knitted conventionally or not, is my FIRST finished scarf!
The only thing, though, is that I wish I had bought the kit of about 6 different looms. Hats only take about an hour on the circular loom, and with this thick purple one I either need thick yarn or to double up because it's pretty loosely loomed otherwise.
Spending $8 on the loom (and perhaps another $10-15 if I decide to buy the other looms!) and at about $3 per large skein of yarn, it's NOT a bad deal for Christmas gifts!
Crafty today,
Janelle
