This morning I woke up late.
Later than usual. I ate breakfast, (did you know that TVP takes on the texture of oatmeal...without the carbs? Just add some cinnamon. I also added a teensy bit of splenda. Stop judging, I see you already.)

It's been a busy week and it's about to get busier. I didn't post about my Dad, didn't wish him a Happy Father's Day via blog, but I assure you it's because I did it in person.

I went to the beach and got a...tan. Yes, I'm a little red in a few places, but four hours at the beach with an equally beach bummy mother and a fabulous lunch packed with tons of diet coke (I see you've found my weakness for artificial sweeteners...) made for a perfect day. And my hair is getting lighter and blonder. Sometimes I'm really vain...but I like my blond hair.

I also like reading on my kindle. And FINALLY finished Water for Elephants. I need new book suggestions. Go!

Last night we celebrated my friend Sue's 30th Birthday with Karaoke and drinks. I had two beers and surprisingly was okay, (darling boyfriend made me wild rice and chicken for dinner- I think he knew we I needed it based on the fact that the night before, one beer after work sent me over the edge. ...Well, I was dangling.

Happy Birthday Sue!

My summer job mucking stalls, as it turns out, is not going to happen after July, because the woman who left for the summer is coming back. This means I have to really start applying for jobs and kicking my tukas with perfecting my resume. The job had great people, decent pay, and it got me going early in the morning with basically an hour workout of lifting, and shoveling, and wheelbarrowing. Oh well, I guess that means I need to start running in the morning to replace that.

Also- speaking of working out and such- anyone use sparkpeople.com? It's an online calorie counter/food diary website, but it's not just about watching what you eat. You get points for tracking your food, workouts, reading articles (that are actually super informing and easy to read!) and it definitely is motivating. There are groups and message boards, as well! And no, no one asked me/paid me/gave me cookies for writing this- I've been using it for about a week now religiously and I can definitely say I was shocked to see exactly what I was eating! The first three days I went over my carbs AND fat grams by 5-10. Then I started being more aware of what I was consuming and how much working out I needed to do in ADDITION to eating the right way.

Tonight I'm working 3-11, and then here's how the rest of the week will pan out:

  • Thursday:
    -Stalls, 7am
    -Ride, 9am
-Make veggie platter for Bachelorette after party
    -Drop off veggie platter. 2pm?
    -Gym
-Home, get ready for bachelorette party
    -Bachelorette Party, 6pm
    -Commence Pass out.
  • Friday:
    -Stalls, 7am
    -Nail Appointment for wedding, 10am
    -Gym?
    -Rehearsal for wedding. 4pm.
    -Rehearsal dinner, 6pm.
-Spending the night at a hotel with 9 other bridesmaids and a fabulous bride-to-be!
  • Saturday:
    -Make-up/Hair, 7-8am
-Sit around, dote over bride, be silly, perhaps enjoy a mimosa or four, get ready for wedding, 8-3pm
    -WEDDING, 4pm
    -Dance the night away!

I'm tired thinking about it. At least Chad is in the wedding too and we're both old people so we'll be the only ones crashing at 11pm ;)

Anyway, I'm going to catch up on some laundry and go take care of my last couple days of my summer job...awesome!
